Build the Future of Wayllo.
Wayllo welcomes meaningful community contributions from students, developers, designers, researchers, writers, testers, and creators. We build in public, independently, and integrate manually.
No source repository access is provided. You build independently, we integrate manually.
Our Contribution Philosophy
How we learn, build, and grow together.
Built by Learners
We are students, builders, and designers, building the ultimate personal operating system that we use ourselves.
Learn by Building
The absolute best way to learn software architecture, database design, or visual hierarchy is to build real features.
Real-world Experience
Engage in structured feature development, handling API contracts, strict designs, code quality, and active feedback loops.
Quality over Quantity
We prefer one complete, polished, and beautifully thought-out contribution over dozens of rushed or half-done tweaks.
Personal Reviews
Every single idea, bug report, UI mockup, and pull request is reviewed manually by core maintainers with full feedback.
Private & Secure
The main repository is kept private to protect core services. Submissions are built independently in public and integrated by us.
Propose or Submit Work
Choose how you would like to participate. Fill out the corresponding details, and your contribution will enter our manual review process.
Submit an Independently Built Feature
Build a fully complete capability outside our repo and submit it for code review.
Submission Checklist
- Built independently outside the main codebase
- Complete code available on public GitHub repository
- Fully functional live demo link is provided
- Clean README, setup steps, and technologies listed
- Confirmation that submission is open-licensed
Contribution Lifecycle
A transparent timeline of how community contributions are processed.
Choose & Build
Propose an idea or build a feature, mockup, document, or bug report completely independently outside the repository.
Submit details
Provide your profile info, demo link, figma mockups, or GitHub repository URL using the portal form above.
Manual Review
Core maintainers will review the submission, add comments, or request adjustments.
Integrated & Hall
Once accepted, the team manually integrates your code/design. Your profile is added to the Hall of Contributors!
Contribution Guidelines
Important constraints to follow when preparing your submission.
Private Repository Security
Wayllo source repositories are private. Community builders do not receive SSH keys or access to production servers. You build independently outside and submit your completed repository.
Visual Consistency
Respect our core layout system. Avoid adding new typography weights, custom fonts, or breaking responsive designs. Ensure styling maps clean to our CSS variables.
Build Independently
Make sure your feature handles internal mock services if you do not have active API credentials. Code should be clean, modular, and self-contained.
Complete Deliverables
Ensure that all checklist items are ticked before clicking submit. Feature submissions without a live demo URL or public repo will not proceed past triage.
Manual Review and Integration
We look at code, test responsive behaviors, and assess security. If accepted, our maintainers manually import and merge your work, attributing it to your contributor handle.
Licensing and Rights
All submissions are licensed under open MIT licenses. Ensure you do not submit copyrighted materials or proprietary libraries.
Hall of Contributors
Recognizing the learners who are building the future of Wayllo.
